Hanoi vows to support RoK firms’ long-term investments

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi is willing to create favourableconditions, especially in administrative procedures, for businesses from theRepublic of Korea (RoK) to make long-term investments in the city.

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chungmade the promise at a meeting with Ryu Hang Ha, Chairman of the Korea Chamberof Business in Vietnam (KORCHAM) in Hanoi on March 14.

At the meeting, Ryu Hang Ha expressed his desire to build aKORCHAM office in Hanoi to attract more long-term investments from the RoK,becoming a bridge between the two sides’ enterprises while strengthening tiesbetween Vietnam and the RoK.

Chung applauded KORCHAM’s plan, pledging that the city willoffer incentives to facilitate RoK firms’ operations in Hanoi. 

He suggested KORCHAM support the RoK Embassy in Vietnam to holdcultural exchange events which are scheduled to take place from April 8-9 nearthe Ly Thai To monument.

Chung also asked KORCHAM to hold an investment promotionconference between Hanoi and the RoK and coordinate with agencies to organisecultural exchanges to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomaticrelations.

According to the KORCHAM chairman, there are about 5,700Korean enterprises in Vietnam with total capital of 50 billion USD, of which1,130 firms are in Hanoi.

As a representative of RoK enterprises in Vietnam, KORCHAMhas become a consultancy centre, connecting RoK firms with the Vietnamesegovernment and helping these businesses operate effectively in the city.-VNA

Hanoi targets 30,000 new enterprises in 2025

By the end of 2024, the number of registered enterprises in the capital city reached over 400,000, with about 220,000 operating. Notably, more than 98% of the operating firms are SMEs which create jobs for 55.1% of the local workforce and contribute over 40% of the city’s gross domestic product (GDP).

TH Group inaugurates large-scale dairy processing plant in Russia

The plant has a total capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, with the first phase producing 500 tonnes daily. All milk used at the plant is sourced from TH’s high-tech farms in the Moscow and Kaluga oblasts.
