Vu Thi Hang of Hanoi came home with a silver medal in the women’s 48kg freestyle wrestling at the 2013 Asia wrestling championships which wrap up in New Delhi, India on April 22.

This is the best achievement of Hang, who is a rising star considered to be a potential successor of veteran Nguyen Thi Lua, who was a silver medalist at ASIAD 16.

However, Lua failed to win any medal at this tournament, stopping at the quarterfinals .

In the men’s events, Vietnamese wrestlers also ended up without medals in both the 55kg and 60kg categories.-VNA
