Secretary Hai expressed thanks to the Netherlands in general and Rotterdam in particular for their assistance to HCM City over the past time. He said he wishes that the two cites will boost cooperation in coping with climate change.
Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb expressed his hope that the two sides will cooperate in science-technology transfer to cope with sea level rise.
The same day, Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan received Mayor of the Philippines Capital city of Manila Alfredo S. Lim.
The two cities’ leaders agreed to further boost friendship and cooperation in education and training, water supply, tourism, management of relics and cultural exchanges.
Alfredo S. Lim asked the two sides to boost exchanges of lecturers and students and said that Manila is ready to provide scholarships for qualified students to study in two leading universities of Manila.-VNA
