HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City’s authorities are considering using LED adverts on buildings and installing free high-quality wi-fi along Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in district 1.

Tran Vinh Tuyen, Deputy Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee told Dan Tri e-newspaper recently that the city’s advertising plan, now being drafted, would include usage of LED lights.

“The city’s policy does not permit outdoor adverts on downtown streets, but firms want to use LED lighting on their buildings for adverts and to beautify the city,” Tuyen said.

The Departments of Information and Communications, Culture, Sports and Tourism will assess the plan for LED lights and free wi-fi and submit a plan for approval and implementation to the People’s Committee.-VNA
