Vietnam ’s first International Anthropological Film Festival opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Nov. 10, on the theme of Modern Society and Sub-cultures.
The event, lasting until Nov. 14, gathers 55 works by film makers from Australia, China, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and Vietnam.
Besides the film screenings, there will be seminars and talks between domestic and international film makers as well as between film makers and the audience.
The organising board, which comprises the Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts and HCM City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the festival will be held every two years in the city.-VNA
