HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City will prioritise seven transport projects as part of its smart urban programme during the 2021-2025 period.

The projects aim to apply technologies in urban management in the southern metropolis.

Of the projects, six are expected to use the city’s budget with total funding of 851 billion VND (37.1 million USD), and the other is worth about 5.7 trillion VND from other sources.

To implement such projects, the municipal People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Transport to coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to raise proposals regarding human resources development in order to bring into full play achievements of the fourth Industrial Revolution in smart urban management.
