Hanoi (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City is forecast to needabout 78,000 new employees for the third quarter of 2018, according to the HCMCity Centre for Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labour Market Information(FALMI).
Most of the vacancies are expected to be in sales andmarketing, mechanics, architecture and civil engineering, informationtechnology, garment and textile – footwear, human resources management,corporate management and accountancy.
The local labour market needs more high-quality andskilled workers in key sectors, said FALMI Deputy Director Tran Anh Tuan.
The city will also work to develop its pool of skilledand trained employees to aid the business expansion of enterprises both at homeand overseas, he added.
Last quarter, the city needed as many as 80,000 workers,following the establishment of approximately 5,600 new companies since thebeginning of the year that have created jobs.
Most of the new jobs were available in the fields ofsales and marketing, services, textile and garment – footwear and logistics.–VNA
