The 9th-tenure People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City convened its 23rd session on December 7 to review the implementation of socio-economic tasks this year and put forth tasks and solutions for 2021.
The capital city has recorded economic expansion of 3.94 percent this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is expecting to regain momentum to secure growth of around 7.5 percent in 2021.
Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hanoi has maintained its economic growth, with gross regional domestic product (GRPD) expanding around 3.98 percent this year, 1.5 times higher than the national average, the city's mayor said on December 8.
