HCM City (VNA) – Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi MinhCity Party Committee Vo Thi Dung held talks with visiting Politburo member ofthe Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), Secretary of the Party Committeeand Governor of Vientiane Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune on June 14 to share Partywork experience.

Dung spoke highly of the visit, made on the occasion of the60th anniversary of the Truong Son Trail, which was a solid proof ofspecial solidarity between the two Parties and countries during theanti-American war.

She affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee,authorities and people always do their best to develop special relations withthe LPRP and Vientiane in particular.

The host wished that high-ranking officials of the LPRP andVientiane would contribute to the close and effective ties between the twocities.

She informed her guest of preparations for the PartyCongress in localities and the 10th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh CityParty Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure, towards the 11th National Congressfor the 2020-2025 tenure.

The Party Congress in localities will determinesocio-economic development orientations and high-ranking personnel structure forthe next five years, which is significant to the future of Ho Chi Minh City,she said.

Khoutphaythoune, for his part, thanked the municipal PartyCommittee, authorities and people for providing support for Vientiane, thus improvingits leadership capacity and fostering ties between the two cities.

He said Ho Chi Minh City’s experience is helpful toVientiane, towards the seventh congress of the Vientiane Party Committee by2020.

Host and guest agreed to continue reinforcing traditionalfriendship, special solidarity and comprehensive partnership between the twoParties, States and cities.-VNA
