HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City will create optimal conditions to welcome HuneedTechnologies group of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to its Saigon Hi-Tech Park.

Chairman of themunicipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong made the pledge at a receptionfor Eugene Kim, chairman of the group, in the city on November 27.

He said the citywill offer the group its abundant labour resources, developed traffic infrastructurefacilities and investment incentives.

The city will helpmultinational companies join global supply chains, Phong said, adding that itwill facilitate the group’s information exchange and investment exploration inthe park.

For his part, EugeneKim expressed his respect for the development of the city, suggesting localauthorities support his group to invest in the city’s Saigon Hi-Tech Park.

HuneedTechnologies is the leading provider of defence equipment of the RoK. It is astrategic supplier of the Boeing Group for electronic items on civilaircraft.-VNA

More preferential credit available to businesses

Under SBV requirements, commercial banks are to provide Vietnamese-dong loans to SMEs and growth-driving sectors at rates at least 1 percentage point per year lower than their average rates for loans of the same maturity. They are also required to consider waiving or reducing service fees for eligible customers in line with regulations and their financial capacity.

Over 60% of long-stalled projects have obstacles resolved
