H’mong ethnic cultural day to open in Lai Chau

The 3rd H’mong Ethnic Cultural Day will be celebrated on December 24-26 in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau.

Visitors to the festival can observe H’mong folk singing, folk dancing, traditional costumes, games, and rituals. 

The festival will also feature activities to promote tourism, trade, and investment in Lai Chau and other provinces. 

Lai Chau is one of the northern mountainous provinces with more than 20 ethnic groups. Each ethnic group has unique cultural features that create a diverse culture of the locality.

The H’mong is one of the most populous ethnic groups in Vietnam. They live mostly in the mountains, 1,000 meters or more above sea level, in the northern region, in the central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, and in the Central Highlands./.
