Busan Day in Ho Chi Minh City – a festival to promote cultural identities of Busan city and the Republic of Korea – was held on July 25, drawing the participation of thousands of local people.

The event offered participants a chance to take part in folk games,explore the Korean paper folding art, pose for photos with thetraditional costume of Hanbok, watch Taekwondo performances, and enjoydances.

There were stands introducing Busan’s achievements and Korean cosmetic products.

Le Manh Ha, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, saidsince the two cities established their twin relationship, bilateralcooperation has been strengthened, primarily in the exchange ofpersonnel, training and security.

Kim Jong-hae, Vice Mayor ofBusan, said the festivities will help people of the two cities betterunderstand their cultures, so as to cement their ties and seek ways todevelop them in the future.

HCM City and Busan will celebrate the 20 th anniversary of cooperative ties in 2015.-VNA

Visitors enjoy Thai environment, lifestyle at Hanoi festival

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.
