Hanoi (VNA) – Regions across Vietnam are experiencing hot weather on May 4 with the temperature in some areas exceeding 37 degrees Celsius, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Rains and thunderstorms are expected to occur in the evening and night of the day while there is a possibility of whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and strong winds.
The capital city of Hanoi suffers the hot weather during the daytime and has no rain at night, with the temperature ranging from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius. The temperature in some areas of the city exceeds 37 degrees Celsius.
In the Central Highlands region, it’s sunny during the daytime and there are showers, and thunderstorms in the evening, and in some places, no rain at night. The lowest temperature is 21-24 degrees Celsius while the highest is 32-35 degrees Celsius. It’s above 35 degrees Celsius in some places.
Some places in the southern region are severely hot with the temperature ranging from 26 to 37 degrees Celsius.
Health experts recommended people to limit going out during the hour frame from 11:00 to 14:00 daily.
