The VN-Index on October 7 jumped 14.39 points to close at 566.42, an increase of 2.61 percent, as shares posted gains across the board on the HCM Stock Exchange.

Advancers outnumbered decliners by 152 to 15, and the value of the day’s trades reached 2.4 trillion VND (134.8 million USD) on a volume of 45 million shares – a jump of 6 percent over October 6’s session.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also ended the day up 2.34 percent to just above 181, with gainers outnumbering losers by 185 to 26.

Trading volume on the northern exchange rose by a whopping 38 percent over the previous session to 35 million shares, worth a combined 1.4 trillion VND (78.7 million USD).

In HCM City on October 7, foreign investors were sellers of a net of just 76,300 shares, with a net value of 44.9 billion VND (2.5 million USD).

In Hanoi, they finished the day as net sellers of about 932,000 shares, worth a net 28 billion VND (1.6 million USD)./.
