Indonesia: 91 strategic national projects completed

Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs on December 23 announced a list of 91 out of a total 223 strategic national projects that have been completed in 2019.

Jakarta (VNA) –Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for EconomicAffairs on December 23 announced a list of 91 out of a total 223 strategicnational projects that have been completed in 2019.

One of themajor completed projects is the Palapa Ring that connects 34 provinces throughoptical fiber with broadband networks.

In 2020,Indonesia plans to complete over 100 infrastructure projects in the list ofnational strategic projects.

Deputy forCoordination of Infrastructure Acceleration and Regional Development in theministry Wahyu Utomo said two projects that will be completed at the end ofthis year include the road infrastructure and the airport train at Adi Soemarmoairport in Solo, Central Java.

Apart from223 national strategic projects, there are three additional programmes, namely theelectricity, aircraft industry, and economic equality programmes, with a totalinvestment of nearly 300 million USD, he said./.
