Flight from London to Singapore forced to make emergency landing in Thailand due to severe turbulence

The UK media on May 21 reported at least one passenger was killed and 30 others were injured in severe turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore.

Hanoi (VNA) – The UK media on May 21 reported at least one passenger was killed and 30 others were injured in severe turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore.

The flight SQ321 of Singapore Airlines was forced to divert to Bangkok after the incident.

The Boeing 777 aircraft left the UK on May 20 evening at 22.17 local time, flight tracking data showed.

The plane requested permission to make an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok instead of Singapore’s Changi airport as scheduled.

Singapore Airlines also confirmed that one passenger died in the incident.

There were a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board./.
