National police spokesman Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said evidenceshowed that the men had arranged to make high explosive bombs at the locationwhere they were arrested.
One of the three suspects had planned to blow himself up in the policeheadquarters in Bogor town in the outskirts of the country's capital, thespokesman said.
Another man had plotted to stab policemen in a traffic police station inthe town, while the third was ready to attack the mobile-brigade police commandthere, Wasisto said, adding that they have been transferred to a mobile-brigadejail in Jakarta.
In raids, police seized explosive materials and devices for launchingsuicide bomb explosions, he added.
Indonesia has suffered deadly attacks by Islamic militants includingbombings on the tourist island of Bali in 2002 that killed 202 people, mostlyforeigners. Smaller strikes in recent years have targeted police andanti-terrorism forces.-VNA
