Hanoi (VNA) -
The first International Expo on Support Industriesand Processing - Manufacturing (VIMEXPO 2020) is scheduled to take place from December9-11 at Hanoi’s International Centre for Exhibition (ICE) on Tran Hung Dao Street.

The expo will also be the first held under the Support IndustryDevelopment Programme.

With 250 booths from 150 support enterprises in the fields of garmentsand textiles, leather and footwear, electronics, automobile manufacturing andassembly, and hi-tech, VIMEXPO 2020 offers a chance to seek new partners andsuppliers and learn of new technologies.

It is expected to become the leading expo on the support industry inVietnam as well as be a first step for Vietnamese producers to intensifyconnectivity and effectively participate in global supply chains, contributingto boosting the sector’s development.

The Government issued a resolution on August 6 on measures to promotethe development of support industries, which sets a target of Vietnam producinghighly-competitive support products that meet 45 percent of domestic productionand consumption demand by 2025 and 70 percent by 2030./.
