HCM City (VNA) – The International Baby Products & Toys Expo (IBTE 2024) and Vietnam International Gifts & Houseware Expo (IGHE 2024) opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City on December 18.

The IBTE 2024 brings together over 200 exhibitors from countries and territories across the world including Vietnam, China, Indonesia and India. Meanwhile, the IGHE 2024 attracted over 150 exhibitors.

As part of this year's exhibition series, the organisers – Vinexad and Chaoyu Expo - will also conduct several workshops and seminars to share information and provide diverse perspectives on market development trends, helping businesses expand their opportunities and optimise networking.

In particular, the organisers will collaborate with the Asian Toy and Baby Products Association (ATAA) to facilitate direct trade connections, involving buyers from toy and children's product associations in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and India.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Van Nga, Deputy Chief of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Office, in charge of the Southern Office, said that the IBTE 2024 and IGHE 2024 exhibitions, with the large numbers of participating businesses, are a testament to the robust development of the domestic and international consumer goods industry, as well as the rising market demand for modern consumer products.

Hou Huaizhi, Deputy General Director of Chaoyu Expo, said that Vietnam is currently among the countries with high economic growth in the region and the world. The market for children's products and toys, gifts, and household goods in Vietnam is offering unprecedented opportunities for development. In this context, international trade fairs and exhibitions are increasingly becoming important bridges, helping domestic and foreign enterprises seize business opportunities and expand their markets.

The two expos will run until December 20./.
