HCMCity (VNA) – The 17th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2023 (ITE HCMC 2023), themed “Connectivity,Growth, Sustainability”, will take place from September 7-9, heard a press conferenceheld by the municipal Department of Tourism on August 15.

The annual event isexpected to draw over 400 exhibitors, over 30% of them are foreign companies whichwill double from the figure recorded last year. About 150 international buyers aredue to directly meet domestic and foreign tourism companies.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Centre Nguyen Cam Tu said visitorscould also experience handicrafts, coffee and folk arts at the event.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Le Truong Hien Hoasaid ITE HCMC 2023 is the only trade fair in Vietnam thatprovides an international buyer programme that pre-arranges face-to-faceappointments with decision-makers and many additional networking opportunitiesto connect on a deeper level.

In particular, 2D virtual booths are designed to offercomprehensive information and equipped with standout features such as livechat, email communication, appointment scheduling, and networkingopportunities, thus helping international buyers seek partners easily, he added./.

Tourist train linking Phong Nha and Hue heritage sites launched

The 190-km route runs between Hue, Dong Ha, My Trach, Dong Hoi and Tho Loc stations, giving travellers access to destinations including the Complex of Hue Monuments, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, Vinh Moc Tunnels, Hien Luong–Ben Hai historical site and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

A range of cultural and artistic activities will be held during the holiday. In Da Nang, the “Hoi An Memories” show will present its “Flag Hat” version from August 26 to September 2. Phu Quoc will host the “The Memory of Flowers” exhibition, while Thanh Hoa will organise the Sam Son Kite Festival 2026 from August 30 to September 1.
