Int’l seminars focus on intellectual property rights

Representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST), the US Embassy in Vietnam and US Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) met in Hanoi on November 7 to discuss international cooperation in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

The sameday, the US Embassy, AmCham, the Vietnam Information SecurityAssociation (VNISA) and the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team(VNCERT) held their second meeting on the role of cyber-security inbuilding the digitalised economy in Vietnam .

Earlier in September 2012, they teamed up in Hanoi to raise public awareness of emerging threats in cyberspace.

This discussion on cyber-security and safe computing drew expertsfrom the tech industry and the government to help educate businesses andthe public on how to mitigate the risks of online threats.-VNA

Authorities race to rescue victims of tourist boat sink in Ha Long Bay

As of 6:00 pm, rescue teams had saved two more individuals from a tourist boat that sank in Ha Long Bay, bringing the total number of people rescued - both passengers and crew member - to 12. 6th global Vietnamese young intellectuals forum opens in Hanoi

Since its inception in 2018, the Global Forum for Young Vietnamese Intellectuals has been organised annually by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. Legal awareness contest for Vietnamese community in Japan launched

According to the organisers, the contest is bilingual (Vietnamese and Japanese), held online, and consists of 34 questions. The questions focus on everyday legal topics such as traffic laws, types of scams, how to contact police, and real-life situations often encountered by foreigners, particularly Vietnamese, living in Japan.

Cambodian authorities hand over 45 citizens to Vietnam
