An international workshop on millennium Hanoi – the capital city in the past and future will take place in Hanoi on October 12 and 13 on the occasion of the celebrations of the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

The two-day event, which will bejointly held by the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association(VUPDA) and the University of Hawaii’s Globalisation Research Centre(GRC), is expected to attract scholars, planners, employees from thestate and private sectors as well as from non-governmentalorganisations.

The workshop will study the capitalcity in the past to make a future scenario as well as consider andassess urbansisation – a global phenomena.

It is expected to help the city’s authorities to make effective decisions for its further development./.

Over 1.2 million students begin national high school graduation exam

Under the current examination format, candidates are required to complete the mandatory Literature and Mathematics tests, along with a combined test comprising two subjects selected from a range of options, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Technology-Industry, Technology-Agriculture, and Economics-Law. Students may also choose to take a foreign language different from the one studied at school.
