Hanoi (VNA) – The Embassy of Israel in Vietnam on June 20 said it will offer 100 wheelchairs to children with disabilities in several provinces and cities in Vietnam, using the budget allocated for the 69th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day (May 14, 1948 – May 14, 2017).
The same day, the first 20 of the 100 wheelchairs, which are especially designed for children by Wheelchairs of Hope, an Israeli non-governmental organisation, were presented to children at the Vietnam – Republic of Korea Centre for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in Hanoi.
The remaining wheelchairs will be delivered to the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, the Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Centre in Can Tho, the Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Department of Ben Tre province and the Children Sponsorship Fund of Ha Giang province.- VNA
