The 12 billion VND factory, invested by Foster Electric Da Nang Co.,Ltd, a subsidiary of the Japan-based Foster Group, is the first projectbuilt in the Vinh Hoa Hung Nam industrial cluster, Go Quao district.

Covering7,000 sq.m, the plant is designed to produce about 1 million units ayear in the first phase, generating over 1,300 jobs for local people.

It is expected to raise it production to 2 million units a year in the second phase, employing about 4,000 local people.

Japan ’s Foster Group currently operates seven plants in Asia, including four in Vietnam.-VNA

EC postpones Vietnam’s seafood inspection until year end

The ministry received the notification from the EC’s Directorate – General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG-MARE) in early May, which requested Vietnam to submit a progress report on implementing the EC’s recommended improvements before September 15. The commission will dispatch an inspection team to the country in late 2025 if the report demonstrates sufficient advancements.
