Jetstar Pacific to open second Da Nang-Taiwan air route

Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific announced on May 30 its new international air route linking Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang and Taiwan’s Kaohsiung city.

Hanoi (VNA) – Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific announced on May 30 its new internationalair route linking Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang and Taiwan’s Kaohsiungcity.

The airline willoperate three round trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using AirbusA320 aircraft to meet the travel demands of nearly 4,500 passengers a month. Theflight’s duration will be 2 hrs and 15 minutes.

The firstflights are scheduled to take off on August 10. Tickets for the new air routeare currently on sale, starting from only 480,000 VND (20.05 USD) per leg.Tickets can be purchased at the website www.jetstar.com and ticket agents. 

This is thesecond direct air route of Jetstar Pacific linking Da Nang and Taiwan,following the first to Taipei, which runs four times per week, said arepresentative of the carrier.

On the occasion,until June 2, passengers can buy tickets at 0 VND for some flights from August10 to September 10, September 17 to October 1, and October 16-25.

Jetstar Pacific,a member of Jetstar Group, carried 6.2 million passengers in 2018, a 14.3percent increase year-on-year.

It has grownfrom five aircraft in 2013 to 18 now, and flies 33 domestic and internationalroutes to 185 destinations in 18 countries and territories.

The two majorshareholders of the airline, Vietnam Airlines and Qantas Group, expect thefleet to grow to 30 aircraft by 2020.–VNA

Fuel taxes cut to 0% from April 16
