Job fairs held for workers returning from RoK

Hundreds of job seekers, who had worked in the Republic of Korea (RoK) under the Employment Permit System (EPS) programme, had the chance to access job opportunities in RoK firms in Vietnam at a career fair in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on April 11.

– Hundreds of job seekers,who had worked in the Republic of Korea (RoK) under the Employment Permit System (EPS) programme, had the chance to access jobopportunities in RoK firms in Vietnam at a career fair in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on April 11.

At the fair, held by the Job Service Centreunder the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs,candidates joined interviews with five RoK-invested enterprises that need experiencedlabouers fluent in Korean.

This was the second time the centre has organised such a job fair, offering avenue for enterprises to seek workers from the EPS programme.

The same day, a similar fair was held in the northern province of Bac Ninh, attractingmore than 100 labourers from northern localities such as Bac Ninh, Bac Giang,Hanoi, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc.

Attendees were interviewed by 18 RoK firmsin Bac Ninh, which need employees for positions of interpreters, officers,electricians and mechanical workers.

According to Dinh Van Duyet, Director of the provincial Job Service Centre, RoKenterprises in Vietnam have high demand for labourers, especially thosereturning from the RoK.

Through the nine events of this kind in BacNinh, thousands of employees found jobs, contributing to reducing the rate ofillegal labourers in the RoK.-VNA

Education-training sector preparing for strategic turning point: Minister

Reviewing the sector’s performance in the past five years, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said the scale of the national education system continued to expand across all levels, with more than 24.5 million learners nationwide. Ho Chi Minh City steps up law enforcement on fishing vessel monitoring system

Ho Chi Minh City has 4,449 fishing vessels, of them 4,301 equipped with VMS devices, making up 96.67%. Between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025, authorities found 1,729 cases of vessels losing VMS connection for six hours or more, issuing fines in 196 cases totalling nearly 6.6 billion VND (about 252,000 USD)
