The Khmer ethnic minority group was urged to uphold the revolutionary tradition in strengthening the national unity at a gathering in the southernmost province of Ca Mau on November 11.

Son Song Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Affairs and Deputy Head of the Southwest Region-Steering Board, made the call after recalling the region’s revolutionary rich history in national defence.

Son also inquired into the local Khmers’ household economy development and their children’s education.

He reiterated the Government’s policy of encouraging Khmers in Ca Mau to establish themselves as a socio-economic and culturally strong ethnic minority community, contributing an important part to the national unity/.
