Korean enterprises supported to expand exports to Southeast Asia

Korean agricultural producers will get more support to attend international trade fairs this year as a measure for them to expand exports, particularly to Southeast Asian countries, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) of the Republic of Korea (RoK) said.

Seoul (VNA) – Korean agricultural producers will get more support to attend international trade fairs this year as a measure for them to expand exports, particularly to Southeast Asian countries, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) of the Republic of Korea (RoK) said.

The ministry has helped 12 local companies to attend the 10th edition of INAGRITECH – Indonesia’s the largest international trade fair on agricultural mechinary and technology solutions.

The fair taking place in Jakarta from July 30 to August 1 attracted about 350 exhibitors from 25 countries across the world.

In 2023, the MAFRA and the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture signed a technical cooperation agreement on cooperation in the field of agricultural mechanisation and infrastructure. The agreement involves in the development and supply of agricultural machinery and other inputs that can be applied in the Indonesian agricultural environment.

The MAFRA also planned to facilitate Korea booths at an international trade fair in the Philippines in October and those in Germany, Vietnam, and Turkey in November./.
