Chairman of the People’s Committee of northern border province of Lang Son Ho Tien Thieu (R) and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo (Photo: VNA) Lang Son (VNA) – Chairman of the People’s Committee of northern borderprovince of Lang Son Ho Tien Thieu and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo discussed the development of transportationinfrastructure, export-import and public health care during a local reception onOctober 25.
Thieu thanked the ambassador for his support to localinfrastructure development, contributing to facilitating goods transportation betweenthe two countries and within Vietnam.
Lang Son has a cooperative and friendlyrelationship with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Both sides haveregularly facilitated exchanges, cooperation and achieved positive results invarious areas, especially in pandemic prevention and control, the economy, bordertrade and management, and more.
He said during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinese Embassyin Vietnam provided Lang Son with four batches of medical equipment andsupplies worth over 10 million CNY (1.36 million USD). These items have been usedeconomically and effectively.
The host wished that the Chinese diplomat would push forcollaboration in not only health care but also other sectors.
Xiong Bo, for his part, said China’s major orientations anddirections as well as socioeconomic development have contributed tonurturing cooperative ties between Lang Son and Chinese localities.
He also wishedto offer further support to Lang Son’s health care development in the nearfuture.
On the occasion, he handed over a batch of medicalsupplies and equipment provided by China to Lang Son./.
