A Lao military plane crashed in the morning of May 17, according to a statement by the Lao Prime Minister’s Office.
The accident of the AN-74TK-300 that belongs to the Lao Air Force occurred in Nadi village, Pec district in Xieng Khouang province at 7:00, said the statement.
Authorised forces are working hard to rescue the survivors and the cause of the crash is being investigated, it said.
According to foreign media, about 20 people, including several senior officials, were on board the plane, and at least five were killed.-VNA
