Lao Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh on Dec. 10 received Vietnamese Minister of Home Affairs Tran Van Tuan, who is on a working visit to Laos from Dec. 8.
Minister Tuan briefed his host on outcomes of the talks with the Lao General Department of Administration and Civil Servant Management delegation and the transfer of the Lao National Archives Centre (LNAC).
He pledged continued support in training archivists for Laos as well as in the management and exchange of legal documents.
The Lao PM expressed his appreciation of the cooperation programme between Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs and the LNAC over the past five years and said he believed that the two sides would promote further cooperation in the near future.
He expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Party, government and people for their support to Laos in many areas, pledging to put LNAC into operation effectively to serve Lao Party and State in the national construction cause.
Earlier, on Dec. 9, Minister Tuan was also received by permanent Deputy PM Somsavath Lengsavad./.
