Lao President welcomes Chinese Party delegation
Laos President Choummaly Sayasone received a delegation of the
Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Liu Qibao, Politburo member
and Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, during the delegation’s
working visit to Laos from October 31 to November 3.

During the meeting, the President, who is also General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), affirmed that Laos treasures its ties with China and wishes to increase bilateral exchange and cooperation.
On his part, Liu Qibao, who is also head of the CPC Central Committee's Publicity Department, stated that his visit aims to promote the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level, in line with the 2014 cooperation plan agreed by both parties.
As part of the visit, the CPC delegation attended the third CPC-LPRP theory seminar.-VNA
