Lao Vice President Bounnhang Volachith received a visiting delegation ofthe Vietnamese Government’s Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs ledby Minister-Chairman Giang Seo Phu in Vientiane on Dec. 28.
Bounnhang Volachith thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for past assistance to Laos .
Heexpressed his wish that the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs andthe Lao Front for National Construction will boost cooperation inpersonnel training and building special policies for ethnic people, tohelp border residents manage the common borderline and fight crime,strengthening the special ties between the two countries.
Giang Seo Phu, who is on a two-day working visit to Laos from Dec. 28,expressed his joy at great changes in Laos and briefed the hostabout the working session with leaders of the Lao Front for NationalConstruction.
During the session, the two sides agreed toaccelerate exchanges of information and experience in training andcoordination in promoting the two countries’ joint celebrations tofurther develop the solidarity, special friendship and comprehensivecooperation between Vietnam and Laos./.
