Laos congratulates Vietnam on 72nd anniversary of National Day

Hanoi (VNA) –
Lao Ambassador toChina Vandy Bouthasavong led a delegation to the Embassy of Vietnam in China onSeptember 1 to congratulate Vietnam on the 72nd anniversary of National Day(September 2, 1945).

While meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador toChina Dang Minh Khoi, the Lao official highly valued the close relations andfriendly cooperation between Vietnam and Laos over the past few years.

Despite rapid and complicated developments inthe world, the bilateral traditional friendship, special solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation have been deepened and expanded, she said.

She described 2017 as an important year for bothLaos and Vietnam since the two countries are celebrating the 40th year ofsigning the Treaty on Amity and Cooperation and 55th anniversary of diplomaticties.

For his part, Ambassador Minh thanked the LaoEmbassy in China for supporting the Vietnamese counterpart in external affairactivities in Beijing.

The relations between Vietnam and Laos willcontinue growing and exist forever with time, he expressed his belief.

Earlier on August 30, Lao Ambassador to the USMai Sayavong and his spouse congratulated the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff on theNational Day.

The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination,increase exchanges, cooperation and mutual assistance in the US.-VNA
