Vietnam's Online Shopping Day, dubbed ‘Online Friday 2021’, began at 00:00 hours on December 3, marking the start of the largest online shopping event in the country lasting 60 hours.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam's Online Shopping Day, dubbed ‘Online Friday 2021’, began at 00:00 hours on December 3, marking the start of the largest online shopping event in the country lasting 60 hours.

The event, jointly arranged by the Ministry of Industry andTrade and relevant agencies and businesses, will run until 12:00 noon on December 5.

Consumers can obtain vouchers at https://onlinefriday.vn, mobile apps andwebsites of the programme’s partners.

More than 300,000 products are on discount, and over 50,000vouchers have been offered.

The holding of the event aims to capitalise on advantagesbrought by digital technology application and e-commerce, as well as the salesof Vietnamese products.

Vietnam will work toward incorporating its Online Shopping Day with the online shopping event in the region to catch up with trans-border e-commerce trend as well as step up cashless payment, thus laying a foundation for authorities to suggest policies in support of enterprises in promotional activities./.
