Lawmakers scrutinise draft laws on public investment, VAT on October 29

The 15th National Assembly is scheduled to listen to a report on the draft Law on Public Investment (amended), and discuss the draft Law on Value Added Tax (revised) and several other draft laws on October 29 at its ongoing eighth session.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 15th National Assembly is scheduled to listen to a report on the draft Law on Public Investment (amended), and discuss the draft Law on Value Added Tax (revised) and several other draft laws on October 29 at its ongoing eighth session.

Specifically, the Minister of Planning and Investment, authorised by the Prime Minister, will deliver a report on the draft Law on Public Investment (amended), while Chairperson of the legislature’s Finance-Budget Committee will present a verification report on this bill.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, authorised by the Prime Minister, will present a report on the draft Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Securities, the Accounting Law, the Law on Independent Audit, the Law on State Budget, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Law on Tax Administration, and the Law on National Reserves. The Chairperson of the NA's Finance-Budget Committee will present a verification report on this draft law.

After listening to a report on explanation, acquirement and revision of the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended), lawmakers will discuss in the hall a number of contents with different opinions of the bill.

They then will discuss in groups the draft Law on Public Investment (amended), and the draft Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Securities, the Accounting Law, the Law on Independent Audit, the Law on State Budget, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Law on Tax Administration, and the Law on National Reserves./.
