Lawmakers to discuss specific development policies, mechanisms for four localities

Lawmakers are discussing special policies and mechanisms for the development of the northern city of Hai Phong, and the central provinces of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Thua Thien-Hue during the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s second plenary session on October 22.

Hanoi (VNA) – Lawmakers are discussing special policies andmechanisms for the development of the northern city of Hai Phong, and thecentral provinces of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Thua Thien-Hue during the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s second plenary session on October 22.

In the morning, they will listen to a report and averification report on the draft Law on Insurance Business (amended), deliveredby Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc and Chairman of the NA Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh, respectively.

The draft law consists of eight chapters and 156 articles,amending 81 articles, supplementing 58 articles, removing 33 articles andkeeping 17 articles unchanged compared to the current Law on Insurance Business.

After that, the NA will listen to a proposal and a verificationreport on draft resolutions on a number of specific mechanisms and policies forthe development of Hai Phong city, and Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Thua Thien-Hueprovinces, which are presented by Minister of Planning and Investment NguyenChi Dung and Chairman of the NA’s Finance-Budget Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong. TheNA deputies will then discuss in groups these resolutions.

In the afternoon, Minister of Labour, Invalids and SocialAffairs Dao Ngoc Dung will present a report on the implementation of socialinsurance policies and regimes, and the management and use of the Social InsuranceFund in 2020. Chairwoman of the NA Committee for Social Affairs Nguyen Thuy Anh willdeliver a verification report on this issue.

Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long then will present a reporton the management and use of the Health Insurance Fund in 2020 and theimplementation of Resolution No. 68/2013/QH13 on promoting the implementationof policies and laws related to health insurance towards universal healthinsurance in 2019-2020. Chairwoman of the NA Committee for Social Affairs NguyenThuy Anh will present a verification report on this issue. The deputies will then discuss in groups this issue./.
