LDS Church helps build clean water system in Hoa Binh

The Vietnamese Women Union and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints co-held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 19 for a clean water system in Quy Hoa commune, northern Hoa Binh province.

Hoa Binh (VNA) – The Vietnamese Women Union and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDSC) co-held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 19 for a clean water system in Quy Hoa commune, northern Hoa Binh province.

The project has a total investment of 994 million VND (44,590 USD), of which 698 million VND is aided by the LDSC.

The project, which includes a latrine, is scheduled to complete in two months.

Once operational, the clean water system will provide 80 litres of water for a person per day.

Local residents will also receive knowledge on clean water and environmental sanitation.

Quy Hoa commune is classified as an extremely disadvantaged locality in Lac Son district.-VNA
