Australia’s Elixir Trio will stage two concerts at Hanoi’s Voice of Vietnam Theatre on May 16-17 as part of celebrations for the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia.

The Elixir Trio’s members are multi-platinum selling songstress Katie Noonan, saxophonist Zac Hurren, and jazz guitarist Stephen Magnusson, according to Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) website.

Katie Noonan’s pure voice and technical mastery have made her one of Australia’s most beloved vocalists. She is a four-time winner of the Australian Record Industry Association’s (ARIA) annual awards.

The Elixir Trio’s first album was released in 2003 and became a top 20 bestseller. Their second album, “First Seed Ripening”, was No. 1 on the ARIA Jazz charts before winning the 2011 ARIA Jazz Award.

The Elixir Trio will also perform in central Da Nang city on May 19.-VNA
