Legislators to discuss thrift practice, wastefulness control on Oct. 31

Hanoi (VNA) – Legislators are to discuss the implementation of policies and laws regardingthrift practice and wastefulness prevention in the 2016-2021 period on October 31 aspart of the ongoing fourth session of the 15th National Assembly.

A draft report on the matter was discussed at the 15th session of the NA Standing Committee. The committee also gave opinions to relevantreports of agencies four times.

Major contents of the supervision include the completion of relevantmechanisms and policies; the implementation of thrift practice and wastefulnesscontrol each year and in five years; the management and use of State budget andState capital; the inspection, investigation, prosecution, trial and judgmentenforcement; and the implementation of conclusions and recommendations ofinspection agencies and the State Audit, among others.

By now, ministries, sector and localities have submittedtheir reports following the request of the NA supervision group.

Thanks to the NA supervision results, many ministries, sectorsand localities have actively issued plans and solutions to deal with theirshortcomings in the field./.
