Hanoi (VNA) – Head coach Philippe Troussier announcedthe list of 26 footballers for the 2023 Asian Cupfinals right after the training session of the national men’s team in Qatar on January 11evening.

The personnel selection was carried out based on thetraining process and performance of players in the recent friendly match with Kyrgyzstan.

Troussier expressed his confidence in the progress of hisplayers, affirming that all of them joining the training course in Qatarmeet his expectations. He urged his men to maintain the 'nevergive-up' spirit in the upcoming tournament.

The 2023 Asian Cupfinals takes place in Qatar from January 12 toFebruary 10, featuring 24 teams divided into six groups. Vietnam is in Group Dand will face Japan on January 14, Indonesia on January 19, and Iraq five dayslater./.
