The Lixil Vietnam Global Manufacturing Co. Ltd under Japan’s Lixil Corporation on January 8 inaugurated a new factory at Long Duc industrial zone in the southern province of Dong Nai following 20 months of construction.
Covering an area of 55 hectares, the 440 million USD factory, producing aluminum and plastic doors, windows and frames, is the Lixil Corporation’s largest project in Vietnam and the biggest from Japan operating in Dong Nai.
It is expected to create jobs for about 2,000 labourers.
According to Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, in recent years the province enjoyed an increase in the number of Japanese investors.
In 2013, the money Japanese investors poured into Dong Nai accounted for 30 percent of more than 1.6 billion USD in foreign direct investment of the province.
He affirmed that Dong Nai will make the best conditions for investors to do effective business in the locality.-VNA
