Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Automechanika Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's leading regional trade fair for automotive industry, has been switched from a biennial to an annual event to help industry participants connect with each other more regularly and stay up to date on global trends.

This year, the event took place from August 1-3, drawing 310 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions, and visitors from 45 countries.

Within the framework of the event, a number of conferences were held, focusing on discussing automation, electrification, supply chain and logistics solutions. Meanwhile exhibition booths introduced the latest trends and new mobility solutions specifically for the domestic market.

Supported by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority and held by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, this year’s event attracted the participation of more than 30 major automotive manufacturing and research corporations including Bosch Rexroth, Forwardlog, and Henkel.

The event was expected to create investment waves in the automotive industry, realising Malaysia’s goal to attract foreign direct investment, promote energy-efficient and high-tech vehicles, and strengthen the local supply chain while supporting the New Industrial Master Plan 2030.

It also aimed at promoting the industry growth, supporting initiatives in sustainable development and fostering the development of talents./.
