During his official trip to Vietnam, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad test drove a model of VinFast - a car manufactured by Vingroup.

During his official trip to Vietnam, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad test drove a model of VinFast - a car manufactured by Vingroup.

Malaysia's 94-year-old Prime Minister took out the company’s LUX SA2.0 SUV for a short test drive. PM Mahathir increased his speed to 100 km/h, while Vingroup chairman Pham Nhat Vuong sat in the backseat.

Prime Minister Mahathir praised the LUX SA2.0 for its engine and design. Lux SA2.0 is a 7-seat SUV, equipped with a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine, 228 horsepower, maximum torque of 350 Nm.

Lux SA2.0 received an award for new products at the Paris Motor Show 2018.

In 2017, VinFast completed the construction of a factory in Hai Phong, only 100km from the capital Hanoi. Equipped with modern technology and artificial intelligence (AI) systems, the plant is designed to have a capacity of 250,000 vehicles per year./.
