At8m on April 5, Maysak Maysak was spotted at 16.1 degrees north latitudeand 122.8 degrees east longitude, on the east of the Philippines’ Luzonisland.
By 7am on April 6, the storm eye isforecast to be seen at 680km to the east-northeast of the Hoang Sa(Paracel) archipelago, with its maximum winds of 62-74km per hour.
In the next 24-48 hours, Maysak will continue moving northwest at aspeed of 15-20km per hour and weaken into a tropical depression.
The depression area is about 660km to the northeast of Hoang Saarchipelago by 7am on April 7, with sustained winds of below 39km perhour, said the centre.-VNA
