Potential opportunities to promote trade links between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) were introduced at a recent meeting between representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese community and businesses in the RoK.

During the meeting, participants were informed of Vietnam’s new industry and trade policies.

The event focused on opportunities for the two nations’ business communities to access each others’ markets, especially after the Vietnam-Korean Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA) officially takes effect.

Incentive policies and procedures in investment, trade, customs, export and import as well as advantages and challenges for each field were also on the discussion docket.

Experience in conducting business in the RoK was shared and promoting cooperation between firms in the homeland and in the RoK was discussed.

Vice President of the Vietnamese Community in the RoK Le Thi Anh Thu said with the growing relations between the two nations and the signing of the VKFTA, Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the RoK will have substantial opportunities to establish partnerships with firms in the homeland.-VNA
