HCM City (VNA) – The Mekong Connect 2021 forum will take place in Ho Chi Minh City forthe first time on December 17, heard a press conference co-hosted by themunicipal Department of Industry and Trade and the Business Association of HighQuality Vietnamese Goods on December 10.

Themed “Economicrecovery and development connectivity in new normal”, the forum will be heldboth online and offline and is expected to draw about 250 delegates, includingbusinesspeople, farmers, leaders of ministries and agencies, and experts athome and abroad.

They will look into economic recovery and development connectivity in the newnormal situation between Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta cities and provinces.

Following the openingceremony will be an online forum sharing experience in investing in agricultureby businesspeople from Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Chairwoman of theassociation Vu Kim Hanh said within the framework of the forum, there will be four sessionson such topics as upholding the roleof grassroots medical system in COVID-19 prevention and control, ensuring the safetyof production activities and supply chains between Ho Chi Minh City and MekongDelta cities and provinces, human resources for agriculture and the MekongDelta, and policies and linkage issues between both sides./.
