Hanoi (VNA) – AMG C43,a famous sport sedan model of Mercedes-Benz, will be assembled in Vietnam inthe time ahead, according to Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Director-General Bradley Kelly.

Mercedes-Benz Vietnam has seen anacceleration in the upgrade and development of domestic car production andassembly lines in recent years. That’s why in 2021 and 2022, it has invested 33million USD in developing six state-of-the-art technologies, some of which havemade debut in the Vietnamese market, Kelly told the Mercedes-Benz DrivingFestival 2022 that kicked off at the F1 circuit in Hanoi on September 21.

In particular, 2023 will mark animportant milestone for Mercedes-AMG in Vietnam when its factory is capable ofmeeting strict technical standards to assemble Mercedes-AMG C43.

This will continue consolidating themanufacturer’s leading position in Vietnam’s car market when it becomes the firstto assemble high-performance sport sedans here, he noted./.

Domestic consumption up over 13%, tourism continues strong growth

The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenues in August were estimated at 679.8 trillion VND (26 billion USD), up 1.6% from the previous month and 14.9% year-on-year. In the January-August period, the figure reached 5.24 quadrillion VND, representing a 13.3% increase year-on-year.

Hanoi moves to maintain appeal to FDI inflows

In the first eight months of 2026, the capital city attracted more than 3.7 billion USD in FDI, equivalent to 83% of the plan set for the year.
