Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam inaugurated a wholesale centre in the southern province of Dong Nai on July 9, the 9th of its kind in the country.

Covering 7,000 sq.m, the Metro Bien Hoa has a total investment capital of 20 million EUR, including 17 million EUR worth of commodities. It now provides more than 26,000 products, 95 percent of which are produced in Vietnam.


The General Director of Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam, Randy Guttery, said Vietnam is one of the world’s fastest growing economies. After seven years of operation in Vietnam, the company’s self-service wholesale model has proved its advantages and adaptability to the local market, he said.


With the opening of this new wholesale centre, Metro Cash & Carry once again confirmed its commitment to long-term investment in Vietnam, the general director stressed.


Alongside with expanding its operations in Vietnam, Metro Cash & Carry has boosted the export of Vietnamese goods. Last year, the company shipped around 100 million USD worth of Vietnamese products abroad, mainly to the European market./.
