Mexico pledges to help VNA train personnel

Additionally, the PT was ready toexpand cooperation and support VNA in printing and distributing theVietnam Pictorial Magazine in Mexico, PT General Secretary SenatorAlberto Anaya Gutierrez told VNA General Director Tran Mai Huong inHanoi on June 14.

General Director Huong thanked the PT executiveboard and the PT General Secretary in particular for their help to VNAin training reporters and editors, and for experimentally printing anddistributing the Vietnam Pictorial Magazine in Mexico.

Hehighlighted VNA’s personnel training, saying that with the PT’s help,VNA would have a contingent of reporters and editors with good skills inthe Spanish language and knowledgeable about Mexican culture, and theywould become an important bridge to enhancing relations between VNA andthe PT.

The General Director told the PT delegation about VNA’soperations, affirming that relationships with news agencies andorganisations played an important role in VNA’s development strategy.

VNApublications have regularly covered information on the Latin Americanregion, including Mexico, in recent years, General Director Huong said,adding that VNA would exert more efforts to contribute to the commongoal of developing friendship and cooperation between the CommunistParty of Vietnam and the PT, as well as between Vietnam and Mexico.

Withinthe framework of the common plan to carry out the cooperation agreementbetween the two parties for the 2010-2015 period, VNA and the PT signeda memorandum of understanding on cooperation. Under the MoU, the partywill receive four VNA reporters and editors for further training inMexico each year.

Additionally, the party helped VNAexperimentally by printing and distributing Vietnam Pictorial Magazinein the Spanish language in Mexico.
